Gapping
In some instances, the market price may ‘gap’ directly from one price to another without trading at any intermediate price. In this instance, stop orders will normally be executed at the next available price in the underlying market.
The only exception to this is a ‘guaranteed stop loss’ order. These are subject to a charge at the time of placing the order.
